David is a highly specialist occupational therapist working in the treatment of hand and upper limb injuries. With over 20 years of clinical experience he is an expert in this field.
David graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2003 and went on to gain a Master’s degree of Research in Clinical Practice from St Georges University of London in 2013. He has a vast and varied experience of working in the field of hand therapy, starting his career in the NHS before moving into the private sector to establish hand therapy services for a major private healthcare provider. He now works independently to provide hand and upper limb therapy across London and the UK.
He has a specialist interest in working with people who are experiencing work related upper limb disorders (RSI) to include ergonomics and workstation evaluation. He also has extensive experience working with people following trauma treating injuries of ligaments, tendons, nerves and bones. He regularly treats sports injuries and has had the privilege to work with may professional footballers, cricketers, boxers, musicians and actors over his career.
In 2012, David spent time volunteering his hand therapy expertise on a mission to Sierra Leone, Africa, where he joined a team to treat local people and to impart knowledge and skills to educate local workers. This was sponsored by ReSurge Africa and The British Society for Surgery of the Hand.
He is also an associate of a medico-legal consultancy, working as an Expert Witness preparing reports for the courts.
David loves to travel and explore the world. He also loves photography, cycling, swimming and to eat cake at any given opportunity.
