Specialist Hand Therapist’
David is the founder of City Hand Therapy Limited. He is a highly specialist occupational therapist working in the treatment of hand and upper limb injuries. With over 14 years of clinical experience he is an expert in this field.
David graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2003 and went on to gain a Master’s degree of Research in Clinical Practice from St Georges University of London in 2013. He has a vast and varied experience of working in the field of hand therapy, starting his career in the NHS before moving into the private sector to establish hand therapy services for a major private healthcare provider. He now works independently to provide hand and upper limb therapy across London and the UK.
He has a specialist interest in working with people who are experiencing work related upper limb disorders (RSI) to include ergonomics and workstation evaluation, and also working with people who have experienced trauma injuring ligaments, tendons, nerves and bones. He treats a lot of sports injuries.
In 2012, David spent time volunteering his hand therapy expertise on a mission to Sierra Leone, Africa, where he joined a team to treat local people and to impart knowledge and skills to educate local workers. This was sponsored by ReSurge Africa and The British Society for Surgery of the Hand.
He is also an associate of a medico-legal consultancy, working as an Expert Witness preparing reports for the courts.
